Jon Childress – Managing Partner, CIC Group
Jon Childress is a seasoned finance and investment executive with deep expertise in financial strategy, economics, and capital management. As Managing Partner of CIC Group, he leverages his background in corporate finance, investing, and strategic planning to drive disciplined, high-value investment solutions. His expertise spans financial modeling, accounting, and economic analysis, with a strong track record of optimizing capital allocation and executing growth strategies.
Before founding CIC Group, Jon held executive leadership roles, including EVP of Finance at Boardwalk Pictures, where he led financial planning, capital raises, and strategic modeling, supporting the company’s significant expansion. He played a key role in private equity transactions, M&A due diligence, and film ultimate modeling, refining profitability projections in media and entertainment. His career also includes finance leadership roles at Ovation LLC, Noble Iron, NBCUniversal, Live Nation, and Occidental Petroleum, strengthening financial operations across multiple industries.
Jon holds an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. He also completed the General Management Program in Strategy & Management at Harvard Business School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Marshall School of Business.
With expertise in financial planning & analysis, investment strategy, private equity negotiations, and corporate finance, Jon continues to drive CIC Group’s mission of delivering disciplined, strategic, and high-value investment solutions.
